(1) A direction given by an authorised corrective services officer under a
requirement of a fine option order must, as far as practicable, avoid—
(a)
conflicting with the offender’s religious beliefs; and
(b) interfering with
any times during which the offender usually works or attends a school or other
educational or training establishment; and
(c) interfering with the
offender’s family responsibilities.
(2) A direction given under a fine
option order may be given orally or in writing.
(3) An offender must not be
given a direction under a fine option order to perform more than 8 hours
community service on any day.
(4) However, if the offender consents and an
authorised corrective services officer approves, the offender may perform more
than 8 hours community service in a day.
(5) In performing community service,
the offender must be allowed reasonable rest and meal breaks.
