(1) The proper officer of the court may postpone the issue of a warrant under
section 185Aif the officer considers it just to postpone the issue of the
warrant.
(2) The postponement of the warrant may be subject to the reasonable
conditions the proper officer considers necessary in the circumstances.
(3)
Application for a postponement under subsection (1) —
(a) must be in
writing; and
(b) may be made by a party to the proceedings in which the
warrant is to be issued.
(4) If the offender fails to comply with a condition
to which the postponement is subject, the proper officer must deal with the
offender under section 185A(1) (a) or (b) as if the offender had only just
failed to pay the penalty mentioned in section 182Aor 185.
