Offence to unlawfully interfere with seized thing
768 Offence to unlawfully interfere with seized thing
(1) A person, other
than an inspector or authorised officer, must not do, or attempt to do, any of
the following acts in relation to a thing seized under this part unless the
person has a reasonable excuse—
(a) unlawfully interfere with the thing or
something done under section 767(b) to restrict access to it;
(b) enter, or
be at, the place where the thing is being kept;
(c) move the thing from the
place where it is being kept.
Penalty—
Maximum penalty—500 penalty
units.
(2) It is a reasonable excuse if the act is authorised by an
inspector or authorised officer.
