Operator responsible for compliance with safety management system
677 Operator responsible for compliance with safety management system
(1)
The operator of an operating plant must take all reasonable steps to ensure
everyone who has an obligation under the safety management system for the
plant complies with their obligations under the system.
Penalty—
Maximum penalty—500 penalty units.
(2) Evidence that another person has
been convicted of an offence against section 702is evidence that the operator
committed the offence of failing to take all reasonable steps to ensure the
other person complies with their obligations under the system.
