Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) The independent assessor has, in the performance of the independent assessor's duties, including in the performance or exercise of an administrative function or power conferred on the independent assessor under an Act, the same protection and immunity as a Supreme Court judge has in a proceeding in the Supreme Court.
(2) A person representing a party before the independent assessor has the same protection and immunity as a lawyer has in appearing for a party in a proceeding in the Supreme Court.
(3) A person making oral submissions to the independent assessor has the same protection as a witness has in a proceeding in the Supreme Court.
