Offence to assault or obstruct ombudsman or officer of ombudsman
43 Offence to assault or obstruct ombudsman or officer of ombudsman
(1) A person must not assault or obstruct the ombudsman or an officer of the
ombudsman in the performance of duties under this Act. Penalty— Maximum
penalty—40 penalty units or 6 months imprisonment.
(2) In this section—
"assault" has the meaning given by the Criminal Code , section 245 .
"obstruct" includes hinder, resist and attempt to obstruct.
