(1) Section 48, as inserted by the amendment Act, section 178, applies only in
relation to information given under an investigation requirement made on or
after the commencement.
(2) Section 48, as in force from time to time before
the commencement, continues to apply in relation to a document given under an
investigation requirement made before the commencement, as if the
amendment Act, section 178 had not been enacted.
