(1) A forest reserve must be managed under the management principles under
section 70F.
(2) If there is an inconsistency between the management
principles and a provision of the Forestry Act 1959or the Land Act 1994, the
management principles prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
(3) Despite
sections 70Gand 70H, an action must not be done in relation to the
management of a forest reserve if it is inconsistent with the management
principles.
(4) In this section—
"action" includes any of the following—
(a) making, amending or renewing an
authority in relation to a forest reserve;
(b) converting an authority to
another form of authority;
(c) changing the purpose of an authority;
(d)
offering or agreeing to carry out an action under paragraphs (a) to (c) .
