Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) The Governor in Council may, by regulation, dedicate a specified area of State land or a forest reserve that is subject to a lease under the Land Act 1994 as--
(a) a national park (scientific); or
(b) a national park; or
(c) a national park (recovery); or
(d) a conservation park; or
(e) a resources reserve.
(2) The regulation may define the extent of the area by reference to--
(a) a specified depth below the surface of land; or
(b) a specified height above the surface of land.
(3) The classes of protected areas mentioned in subsection (1) are listed in descending order of the level of protection given to them under this Act.
