Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated ActsIf the mining registrar considers on reasonable grounds that there has been a breach of any condition of a prospecting permit or of this Act by the holder of the permit or any person purporting to act under the authority of the prospecting permit, the mining registrar may determine that an amount (not exceeding 5 penalty units) fixed by the mining registrar shall be due and owing to the Crown by the holder by way of penalty for that breach.
