Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated ActsThe Governor in Council may appoint any person who is eligible for appointment as a member to act temporarily as a member during the absence through illness or other cause of any member or during a vacancy in the office of a member, and a person so appointed shall, while so acting, be deemed to be a member.
