Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) A landowner who is given a pest control notice may, within 14 days after receiving the notice, ask the issuing entity to extend the compliance period.
(2) The request must--
(a) be in writing; and
(b) state the reason for the request; and
(c) state the period of extension requested.
(3) After considering the request, the entity must, by written notice given to the landowner--
(a) extend the period to a date stated in the notice if the entity is satisfied--
(i) it is not reasonably practicable for the person to comply with the notice in the period; or
(ii) it is otherwise reasonable in the circumstances to extend it; or
(b) refuse to extend the period.
(4) If the entity decides to refuse to extend the period, or to extend the period other than as requested under subsection (2)(c), the entity must give the landowner an information notice about the decision.
