(1) This section applies if there is a charge under a relevant law and the
charge or part of the charge is not paid by a person required under the
relevant law to pay it.
(2) The law society may recover from the person the
unpaid charge, or the unpaid part, as a debt.
(3) In this section—
"charge" includes—
(a) contributions, dues, fees, levies or subscriptions
that become payable on or after the commencement of this section; and
(b)
contributions, dues, fees, fines, levies or subscriptions that became payable
before the commencement of this section.
