(b) a member of the committee who
is a local legal practitioner chosen by the chairperson; and
(c) a lay member
of the committee chosen by the chairperson.
(3) In choosing a local legal
practitioner as mentioned in subsection (2) , the chairperson must choose a
person who is—
(a) if the discipline application is about the conduct of a
person who, at the time of performing the acts or omitting to do the acts
constituting the conduct complained of, was a barrister or, in the opinion of
the chairperson, was engaged in legal practice in the manner of a
barrister—a barrister; or
(b) otherwise—a solicitor.
(4) The chairperson
is to preside at the hearing of a matter referred to the committee.
