(1) This chapter does not apply to the holder of a current local practising
certificate granted or renewed by the bar association.
(2) A regulation may
provide whether or not, and if so to what extent, this chapter applies to an
interstate legal practitioner.
(3) Also this chapter applies, with any
necessary changes, to an Australian-registered foreign lawyer and a former
Australian-registered foreign lawyer in the same way as it applies to a law
practice.
