Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated ActsA member of the committee who through absence, illness or other cause is unable to perform the member's duties as such member may, by notice in writing given to the secretary to the committee, appoint a person as the member's deputy to act for the member during the continuance of the member's inability and the person so appointed shall while so acting, be deemed to be a member of the committee and where the person is appointed as deputy of the member who is chairperson of the committee, to be chairperson of the committee.
