Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) The cost of planning, constructing, maintaining and managing a bridge, road or other work that is to be, or is, built along the boundary between 2 or more local government areas, and partly in each of the areas, is the joint responsibility of the local governments of the areas.
(2) The local governments must enter into the arrangements, and make the contracts, that are necessary for the proper performance of the responsibility.
