Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) In entering into contracts for the carrying out of work, the supply of goods or services or the disposal of assets, a local government must have regard to the following principles--
(a) open and effective competition;
(b) value for money;
(c) encouragement of the development of competitive local business and industry;
(d) environmental protection;
(e) ethical behaviour and fair dealing.
(2) For contracts for the carrying out of work, or the supply of goods or services, the principles are the procurement principles.
