LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1993 - SECT 22
22 Exercise of jurisdiction for its local government area--the basic territorial unit
(1) A local government may exercise the jurisdiction of local government for
all parts of its local government area.
(2) Its local government area is its
basic territorial unit.
