Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) A member must not practise in, or have a direct or indirect interest in the practise of, a business or profession if the practise or interest is likely to conflict with the member's duty as a member.
(2) A member must resign from office as a member if the member is chosen as a member of the Legislative Assembly.
(3) Subsection (1) does not apply to--
(a) an acting member; or
(b) a member appointed under section 17 on a part-time basis.
