Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) Legal Aid may charge a legally assisted person interest on an unpaid amount payable by the person under section 36(2).
(2) If Legal Aid charges interest, it--
(a) starts accruing 30 days after Legal Aid gives the person written notice of its decision to charge it; and
(b) is payable at the rate for the time being prescribed under the Supreme Court Act 1995, section 48 for a judgment or order of a court of record.
