Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) If the Childrens Court is constituted by 2 justices, the court's jurisdiction in relation to a proceeding against a child for an offence is limited to--
(a) the hearing and determination of a charge of a simple offence in a case where the child pleads guilty; and
(b) taking or making a procedural action or order.
(2) The justices can not make a detention order or conditional release order.
(3) This section does not affect a limitation placed on the power of a justice under the Justices of the Peace and Commissioners for Declarations Act 1991.
