Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) For the purpose of the jurisdiction in relation to persons and matters assigned to a Childrens Court judge under this Act, a Childrens Court judge has the same powers and jurisdiction as the District Court has in its criminal jurisdiction in relation to persons and matters assigned to the District Court.
(2) The powers and jurisdiction conferred under subsection (1) are in addition to those otherwise conferred under this Act.
(3) To the extent that another provision of this Act is inconsistent with subsection (1), the other provision prevails.
