Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) Where a vacancy happens in the office of an appointed member during the currency of the appointed member's term of office as such member, the Minister may appoint another person to fill that vacancy.
(2) A person appointed to fill a casual vacancy shall, subject to this Act, be appointed and hold office for the balance of the person's predecessor's term of office.
