Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) The Funeral Benefit Trust Fund (the fund) is continued in existence subject to the Financial Administration and Audit Act 1977, part 8, division 2.
(1A) Accounts for the fund must be kept as part of the departmental accounts of the department.
(1B) However, amounts received for the fund must be deposited in a departmental financial-institution account of the department used only for amounts received for the fund.
(2) There shall be established a Board of Trustees to administer the fund.
(3) The Board shall be appointed by the Governor in Council and shall consist of--
(a) the registrar or a representative of the registrar who shall be also the secretary of the Board; and
(b) the State actuary for the time being or the State actuary's representative; and
(c) a representative of the Treasurer; and
(d) a representative of corporations.
(4) The body corporate constituted by the trustees (the trustees) is continued in existence under the name 'Trustees of the Funeral Benefit Trust Fund', and continues to have an official seal.
(5) The trustees shall administer the fund.
(6) The trustees do not represent the Crown.
(7) In this section--
departmental accounts, of a department, means the accounts of the department under the Financial Accountability Act 2009, section 69.
departmental financial-institution account, of a department, means an account of the department kept under the Financial Accountability Act 2009, section 83.
