Suspension or cancellation of authority by chief executive
67 Suspension or cancellation of authority by chief executive
(1) The chief executive may suspend or cancel an authority if the chief
executive is satisfied the suspension or cancellation is necessary or
desirable for the best management, use, development or protection of fisheries
resources or fish habitats.
Example—
The examples mentioned in section 59(1) are examples of the bases on which the chief executive may be satisfied.
(2) In acting under subsection (1) , the chief executive may disregard any
third party interests in the authority.
(3) This section does not affect the
suspension or cancellation of an authority under a regulation.
