178 Dealing with forfeited things
(1) On the forfeiture of a thing (including fisheries resources or net
proceeds of sale), the thing becomes the property of the State and may be
dealt with by the chief executive as the chief executive considers
appropriate.
(2) Without limiting subsection (1) , the chief executive may—
(a) sell it to its previous owner or a person who had a legal or beneficial
interest in it; or
(b) sell it to anyone else (by auction, tender or
otherwise); or
