(1) The president of an association formed for a State school may, under the
association’s constitution, appoint another association member (the
"alternative association member" ) to attend meetings of a school council for
the school in the place of the president when the president can not attend the
meetings.
(2) When attending a meeting of the council under subsection (1) ,
the alternative association member has the same rights and duties as the
president.
(3) An elected member, or appointed member, of the council is
ineligible for appointment by the president as the
alternative association member.
