In this chapter—
"chief executive (transport)" means the chief executive of the department in
which the Transport Operations (Passenger Transport) Act 1994 is administered.
"corresponding law" means a law of another State corresponding, or
substantially corresponding, to this Act.
"nearest applicable school" , for a person, means the nearest State school, or
equivalent of a State school under a corresponding law, with the required year
level for the person.
"permanent resident" means the holder of a permanent visa as defined by the
Migration Act 1958 (Cwlth) , section 30 (1) .
