(1) If a submission is made
to the chief executive under section 319(2) , the chief executive must, as
soon as practicable after receiving it, review the principal’s decision to
cancel the enrolment and—
(a) confirm the decision; or
(b) vary the
decision; or
(c) set aside the decision and substitute another decision.
(2)
As soon as practicable after making the decision under subsection (1) , the
chief executive must tell the student and the principal—
(a) about the
decision; and
(b) if the decision allows the student to make an application
for enrolment at the school earlier than if the principal’s decision had
been confirmed—when the student may make the application.
(3) As soon as
practicable after telling the student and the principal, the chief executive
must give each of them a notice in the approved form about the decision.
