Notice to principal of non-State school180 Notice to principal of non-State school
(1) The chief executive may, by notice given to the principal of a non-State school, ask the principal for information about—(a) the enrolment or attendance at the school of a child who is of compulsory school age; or(b) decisions made under section 189 , including information in the record kept by the school’s governing body under section 197A .
(2) Without limiting subsection (1) , the chief executive may ask for information that the chief executive believes may—(a) help in the investigation of an alleged contravention of section 176 (1) ; or(b) help the chief executive or an authorised person acting under section 178 ; or(c) otherwise help the chief executive or an authorised person to decide whether or not a parent is contravening section 176 (1) .
