(1) This section applies if the
police commissioner reasonably suspects a person who is charged with an
offence is a relevant mature age student of a mature age State school.
(2)
The police commissioner may give the school’s principal notice of the
charge.
(3) The notice must state the following—
(a) the person’s name
and address;
(b) the person’s date of birth;
(c) the offence the person is
charged with;
(d) particulars of the alleged offence;
(e) the date of the
charge.
(4) If the principal receives a notice mentioned in subsection (3)
about a person and the person is a mature age student of the school, the
principal may write to the person to tell the person about the person’s
obligations under section 175K.
