709 References to former chapters 5 and 5A
(1) A reference in an Act or a document to former chapter 5 or 5A may, if the
context permits, be taken to be a reference to chapter 5.
(2) A reference in
an Act or a document to a particular provision of former chapter 5 or 5A (the
"repealed provision" ) may, if the context permits, be taken to be a reference
to the provision of chapter 5 that corresponds, or substantially corresponds,
to the repealed provision.
