(1) This section applies if, under this Act, the administering authority or
other entity must, on payment of the appropriate fee to the entity, give a
person a copy of a document, or a part of a document.
(2) The fee for the
copy of the document or part of it is the amount that is the lesser of the
following—
(a) for the chief executive—the amount the chief executive
decides is reasonable;
(b) otherwise—the amount the administering authority
decides is reasonable;
(c) the amount that is no more than the reasonable
cost incurred by the authority or other entity in making the copy and giving
it to the person.
(3) Despite subsection (2) or any other provision of this
Act, the authority or other entity may give the document without the payment.
(4) In this section—
"document" does not include the following registers or an extract from the
registers—
