Effect of Act on other rights, civil remedies etc.
24 Effect of Act on other rights, civil remedies etc.
(1) This Act does not limit any civil right or remedy that exists apart from
this Act, whether at common law or otherwise.
(2) Without limiting subsection
(1) , compliance with this Act does not necessarily show that an obligation
that exists apart from this Act has been satisfied or has not been breached.
(3) In addition, a breach of the general environmental duty does not, of
itself, give rise to a civil right or remedy.
