Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) An Island council shall keep proper accounts to record the receipts and disbursements into and from each fund of the council, including such accounts as may be directed by the Minister.
(2) The chief executive or a person authorised by the chief executive is entitled to enter into and be in the council area and premises of an Island council, to inspect the records of accounts kept by that council and to make copies of or extracts from such records.
(3) Upon the request of the chief executive or such authorised person, a person having custody of the records of accounts on behalf of an Island council shall produce the records in accordance with the request.
