Interim orders
240 Interim orders
(1) This section applies if a person appeals against an order transferring a
child protection proceeding to a participating State.
(2) If an interim order
is in force under section 230 — (a) the interim order is not affected merely
because of the appeal; but
(b) the appellate court may— (i) stay the
operation of the interim order; or
(ii) vary or revoke the interim order; or
(iii) extend the time for which the interim order has effect.
(3) Also, the
appellate court may make any interim order that could be made by the Childrens
Court under section 230 .
