Chief executive must make guidelines
159C Chief executive must make guidelines
(1) The chief executive must make guidelines, consistent with this Act, for
sharing and dealing with information under parts 4 and 5 .
(2) The purposes
of the guidelines are to ensure—
(a) information is shared under parts 4 and
5 only for proper purposes; and
(b) to the greatest extent possible, the
privacy of individuals is respected when sharing information under parts 4 and
5 , having regard to the principles stated in sections 5Aand 159B; and
(c)
information shared under parts 4 and 5 is properly used, stored, retained and
disposed of.
(3) The chief executive must publish the guidelines on the
department’s website.
