Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) A person must not publish, or attempt to publish, an advertisement for a classified film that indicates--
(a) that the film is unclassified; or
(b) that the film has a classification other than its classification under the Commonwealth Act.
Maximum penalty--60 penalty units or imprisonment for 6 months.
(1A) If a film is reclassified, display of the determined markings and consumer advice applicable to the film before reclassification is sufficient compliance with subsection (1) for the 30 day period immediately after the reclassification takes effect.16
(2) A person must not publish, or attempt to publish, an advertisement for an unclassified film if the advertisement has not been approved by the censor.
Maximum penalty--
(a) in the case of an objectionable film--60 penalty units or imprisonment for 6 months; or
(b) in any other case--10 penalty units.
