26 Prohibition against publishing certain advertisements
(1) A person must not publish, or attempt to publish, an advertisement for an
objectionable or unclassified film, unless the advertisement is allowed under
the Commonwealth Act.
Penalty—
Maximum penalty—
(a) for an
objectionable film—60 penalty units; or
(b) for another film—10 penalty
units.
Note—
The Commonwealth Act, section 31 provides for the Minister, by
legislative instrument, to determine a scheme for the advertising of
objectionable or unclassified films.
(2) A person must not publish an
advertisement for a film if, under the Commonwealth Act—
(a) an application
for approval of the advertisement—
(i) has not been made; and
(ii) if it
were made, would be refused; or
(b) approval of the advertisement is refused.
Penalty—
Maximum penalty—60 penalty units.
(3) A person may
publish an advertisement for a film only in the form in which it is approved
under the Commonwealth Act.

Maximum penalty—60 penalty
units.
(4) If an advertisement for a film is approved under the
Commonwealth Act on conditions, a person may publish the advertisement only in
accordance with the conditions.
