51 Obstructing inspector
(1) A person must not obstruct an inspector in the exercise of a power, unless
the person has a reasonable excuse for the obstruction. Penalty—
Maximum penalty—50 penalty units.
(2) If a person has obstructed an
inspector and the inspector decides to proceed with the exercise of the power,
the inspector must warn the person.
(3) In warning a person under subsection
(2) , an inspector must warn the person that— (a) it is an offence to
obstruct the inspector, unless the person has a reasonable excuse; and
(b)
the inspector considers the person’s conduct is an obstruction; and
(c) if
the person continues or repeats the conduct, a police officer may be asked to
help enforce this section.
