Entry to place by inspectors
34 Entry to place by inspectors
(1) An inspector may enter a place if— (a) its occupier consents to the
entry; or
(b) the entry is authorised by a warrant.
(2) However, an
inspector may, without the occupier’s consent or a warrant, enter— (a) a
public place when the place is open to the public; or
(b) the land around the
premises to ask its occupier for consent to enter the premises.
