Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) In entering into contracts for the carrying out of work, the supply of goods or services or the disposal of assets, the council must have regard to the following principles--
(a) open and effective competition;
(b) value for money;
(c) encouragement of the development of competitive local business and industry;
(d) environmental protection;
(e) ethical behaviour and fair dealing.
(2) For contracts for the carrying out of work, or the supply of goods or services, the principles are the procurement principles.
(3) A regulation may make a provision about the application of the procurement principles.
