Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) The tribunal, on the application of any entity or on its own initiative, may extend a time limit fixed by or under this or another Act for the start of a proceeding.
(2) The tribunal, on the application of a party or on its own initiative, may for a proceeding--
(a) extend a time limit fixed by or under this Act or an empowering Act for the doing of anything; or
(b) waive compliance with any procedural requirement under this Act.
(3) The tribunal may extend time or waive compliance even if the time or period for compliance has expired.
(4) The tribunal may not extend time or waive compliance--
(a) for a proceeding relating to a matter to which the Property Agents and Motor Dealers Act 2000, section 472A applies; or
(b) if to do so would cause any prejudice or detriment to a party or potential party that can not be remedied by an appropriate order for costs or damages.
