BIRTHS, DEATHS AND MARRIAGES REGISTRATION ACT 2003 - SECT 6

(1) The birth of a child must be registered if--

(a) the child is born in Queensland; or

(b) a Queensland court--

(i) finds that the child was born in Queensland; and

(ii) makes an order that--

(A) directs that the birth be registered; and

(B) states the particulars about the birth that are prescribed under a regulation.

(2) In this section--

child includes a stillborn child born after 30 April 1989.
