(1) A court, on application by an interested person or on its own initiative,
may order the registrar to—
(a) register the birth of a child born in
Queensland; or
(b) include or correct application information about a
child’s birth, other than the child’s name, in the register of births.
(2) However, a person may not apply for an order under subsection (1) if the
person has, under section 49, applied to QCAT for a review of a decision of
the registrar in relation to the same matter.
(3) In this section—
"court" means—
(a) for application information about a child’s
parentage—the Supreme Court; or
