Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) A person must not, unless authorised by a collection authority, take native biological material for biodiscovery from State land or Queensland waters.
Maximum penalty--
(a) for NCA material--3000 penalty units or 2 years imprisonment; or
(b) otherwise--2000 penalty units.
(2) In this section--
NCA material means--
(a) native biological material that is, or is sourced from, endangered, rare or vulnerable wildlife, or a protected animal, within the meaning of the Nature Conservation Act 1992; or
(b) native wildlife mentioned in section 97 of that Act.
