123 Certificate of occupancy for particular buildings built before 30 April 1998

(1) This section applies to a building if it was built before 30 April 1998.

(2) The owner of the building may apply to the local government for a local government building certifier to give the owner a certificate of occupancy for the building.

(3) The application must be written and include enough information about the building’s use to allow the local government building certifier to comply with the certificate requirements.

(4) If the application complies with subsection (3) , the local government building certifier must ensure the owner is given the certificate of occupancy that complies with the certificate requirements.
