Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) After the reregistration of the adoption of a person (the relevant person) under the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Act 2003, section 14, a certified copy or extract obtained under this Act from the registrar general--
(a) must show the relevant person's sex in accordance with the reregistration; and
(b) must not include a statement or other clear indication to the effect that a change of the relevant person's sex has been entered in the Adopted Children Register.
(2) However, any of the following persons may, on payment of the appropriate fee prescribed under the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Act 2003, apply to the registrar general for a certified copy from the adoption entry of the relevant person that was closed on the reregistration--
(a) the relevant person;
(b) a child of the relevant person;
(c) a parent of the relevant person, if the relevant person is a child;
(d) a person prescribed under a regulation.
