Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated ActsFor the purposes of the laws of Queensland, the adoption of a person (whether before or after the commencement of this Act) in another State or a Territory of the Commonwealth or in New Zealand, in accordance with the law of that State or Territory or country has, so long as it has not been rescinded under the law in force in that State or Territory or country, the same effect as an adoption order made in Queensland under this Act, and has no other effect.
